Thanks guys. It's a big day when the motor gets into its' home. The alu tank is a vapor tank modelled after an e28 setup. My battery will be in the trunk, doesn't take up too much real estate and my car will have rear seat delete.

Are you planning on putting the reservoir directly atop the m/c? Mine's there now.

You'll have to pull the plenum to bleed 'em though. That's not too difficult.

You'll likely gain a higher capacity reservoir which may be important only if you develop a leak. It does minimize some hoses, though.

Start it!

;-)

You no likey the stock booster?

Cheers,

That's a good idea Ray...food for thought. MC is of the 750 variety. Still looking at a number of options for the booster.

Hmm, I thought you schooled me once that the tii booster wouldn't fit...

... I think the stock one fits, but it's rotated, right? I don't look at that when I raise the hood...

Cheers,

tii booster and 750 MC is the combo i hope works! someday i will delete the whole 02 brake linkage nightmare, but not this winter.

Not averse to the tii booster, but fit is tight, more considering other options which might work, such as this well used setup from a rhd coupe.

tii booster fits...stock one does not under the cf airbox for an o2. there is about a quarter inch clearance between the tii booster and the airbox on my car.

I want to highlight the work done by Usic Choi and his employees at Total Motor Werkes, just north of Toronto. Since I started on this project with him, more and more 02's are showing up at his shop, which is a good sign!

Here is his most recent work

I have not been active in the fabrication and wrenching and he has worked really well with me each step of the way. Wish I was building this like I did with the tii, but just not a reality right now. Plus I have never welded ;)

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
