nationwide, forget it....CL presented 'em with a cease and desist order so they no longer show CL ads.

Guess I'm never gonna find that E30 318is I've been looking for.

From reading comments and then doing a little searching myself, it seems Ebay bought a stake in Craigslist.....to pretty much put an end to these sites. If you have to pay to use ebay, and craigslist is free and can reach the whole country (for those that know how with these mega-search sites), then it takes business away from ebay, especially since they have "classifieds" listings as well now.

I suspect these sites posted as alternatives will suffer the same fate....just need a new classifieds site!

Pretty stupid. That site promotes Craigslist and generates more sales for them. Its like saying no please we don't want free marketing to help sell what the people are trying to sell. Am I missing something here? WHY?

For Craigslist, it doesn't really benefit them financially to have all these sites search nationally all at once, etc. . After all it's a free site except for the hiring section. If you ever tried to post in multiple sections, you'll know they don't allow you to use the same email. They like to keep all of it's CL local. It also isolate some of the scammers. All in all, sucks cause I loved to use Jaxed too!

Moreso. It doesn't make sense for them to shut it down mash actually promotes CL. It's a dumb move.
