I'm going to attempt some (black) vinyl seat repair tomorrow. In the lower back and in the lap of the seat there is a split on every seam in the middle. The vinyl is all there. It's just every where there should be a white stitch it is a split instead.

From what I have read of other posts, it appears that vinyl repair doesn't seem to last. So I was thinking it may be a complete waste of time.

stock looking.

Find a rear seat back that's all sun rotted on top--remove material from the frame and take that and your split seat to an upholstery shop. they will take the back seat material and cut replacement pieces for your front seat. That way everything will match.

Have done this several times and you can't tell what's original and what has been replaced.

cheers
