I feel so dumb right this very moment.
Drilled out the pins from 2002 dist and then from 318i dist.
And then swapped them in the process destroyed two distributors.
Like I said, I feel so dumb.

It is a different story that the car still won't start.

Nah- don't feel bad.  Inverting the gear doesn't change the pitch.
