I am a payer , not a player, lol. All were restored and upgraded by Greg Lavalle in Greensboro NC and 2 have M42 from Jake in MI. My son has my 72 Golf yellow M42 car and it is sweet. Jake is installing a turbo M42 in my 76 02

that we re did out here in a small garage, sold it and then bought it back .

Lots of new BMWs a Shelby and some other fancy EXPENSIVE cars live in my neighborhood. Hell, you can buy 3or 4 decent 02s for the price of some of them(maybe more). On the best day my drive way looks like a time warp to about 76. It looks like a used car lot when all my kids show up.

I plan on doing the same thing. Buying and wrenching with modern features to include HPs. I better get at least two cars for my kids; I had a bunch of brothers and when my Pops gave away good stuff I was too young to get any of it - sort of affected me. I will not let that happen to my guys.

Circa '76 sounds good! Right now I just don't have enough garage space or I'd pull the trigger on another one. Lucky you.
