steering gear spline size

I'm putting a collapsible Woodward safety steering column in my track car. I need to know the size of the worm gear shaft splines on the "input" shaft of the steering gear so that I can get the correct size steering column u-joint. This is the part of the steering box that the flex disc (steering guibo) flange clamps onto. Does anyone know the major/minor diameters and spline count on the steering worm gear? I could measure mine, but if someone already has done it it would save me some time. Thanks. -Rojo

The steering gear shaft is 17mm by 36 spline. I converted to a 3/4" shaft for my track car and used the following U-Joint from Howe performance:

U-joint #612, 17mm-36 x 3/4"-36

Their phone is (619) 561-7764. I did a lot of research and there are very few 17mm x 36 spline U-joints out there. What size shaft are you going to? I may have other part numbers at home for different sizes/suppliers.
