Ireland Engineering fg rear bumper mount question

Recommended Posts

When you do dig a little deeper you'll find that Ary (dtmfiberwerks/eurostop usa) is selling the IE bumper.

To mount the rear bumper some people will run a longer longer bolt with a sleeve on the inside of the bumper. If you talk to Jeff or Jeremy ( I myself am not very well equipped to answer any body questions), your local body shop should also have some solutions.

I used the long bolts & spacer method , I used carriage bolts or coach bolts(depending on where you were born) with a round head /square shank ,filed a square hole in the bumper & used the 3/8 coach bolts.EZ

Now I had to do some major adjustment due to the quality of the IE bumper - it was way to wide, and one end is way shorter than the other. But a little extra fiberglass work and it's on.

Thanks for posting that.  I bought a IE rear bumper off a guy whom didn't end up using it.  It was SUPER wide and I wasn't sure if it was just this one or a common issue.

I haven't gotten around to cutting a chunk out of it and re-glassing it yet myself.
