Hi All,

Greetings (or Howdy) from Texas. Just about to pull the trigger on a 2002 semi tii.

Here is a link for those interested. I still do not own it yet as it had electrical issues on my scheduled pickup day and it took them all day friday to get a 45 amp tii alternator installed. So pick up is now Monday

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330577592189&ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT#ht_555wt_609

I am going to pay $5500 for the car with a 6 month warranty.

The highs and lows are listed but the front seats are torn and new vinyl from worldwide is planned as is a:

Radio and speakers

320i radiator

320i 80 amp alternator (1983 rebuilt off of ebay)

Ultimate spark package from Top End Performance

short bumper kit for front (where is one for the rear??)

ceramic window tint (it does have a clardy ac unit that was added as it did not have factory air and the tint will give it a cool down edge)

hella 7" e code headlights

hella 500 fog lights

fog light mounting brackets from Pierre

possible front and rear shock tower and battery movement to back

That is about it for the immediate. I was not hot on the color but it is a factory color and it is a classic car and is different and growing on me.

So, I came from a Lexus LS430.... dull but fast and comfortable. And also came from the Lexus forums.

They had stickies and FAQ's for pretty much everything. I am recommending we expand to that as there is a ton of great information out there scattered around that could all end up here with a little effort.

I also recommend a monthly car of the month detailing work, changes and recommendations. I enjoy other members cars and I have not seen a 2002 on the road here in a LONG TIME!

I am hooked on the 2002!!!

Well bought. Seller has great rep in The Community. Turkis is a rare color. One of my all-time favorites.

damm - what happened to the "tii heritage" parts ????????????

that sure hurt this car for life

hurt any 'resale' value in the future

yea - west-texas 'dry' body ? but WHEREs DA tii HEART ?!?!?!

me thinks the bidding got a tad over enthused

hope the 6-month warranty works

(on a 37! year old car!?!)

p.s. look under the rear of the car to see

if the boxed-in-control-arms are still attached?

Yea I think that was well bought. The seller has a good reputation. I'd ask them if there is any way to get the high amp alt now. I mean why make them buy a part your only going to replace. Maybe you can pay the difference?

Be careful with the stereo. You don't want to make too many changes to a tii.

Slowly find all the tii stuff your missing.

Again, well bought.

+1 on what John said- if you slowly collect tii parts, it's not very expensive,

and throwing a tii system back on will make that car easily re- sellable

if you ever wanted.

Or into a legitimate tii!

+1 on what Toby said (+1 on 99.99% of what Toby says, for that matter!)

No 2002's have factory a/c. All were dealer (or later) options.

Welcome to the madness!

Cheers,

Ray
