Spare Tire belly pan ?

Someone had one for sale recently on the Parts For Sale board here. You might want to scroll down thru those listings and see what you can find. Also, post your own listing on the Parts Wanted board and see what you get in the way of replies.

New ones are available from BMW, but they're a little pricey. You get the whole gas tank surround as well as the spare tire well in one piece. P/N is 41 12 1 838 992. Check with www.blunttech.com - he's a member of this board.

......considering my 'inside source' I would not put much

trust with realOEM

the number 41 12 1 838 992 is the trunk floor:

spare tire well over to the right inner fender,

with cutout for gas tank. Complete floor.

Some trivia I have found that over here in Australia E21 s dont seem to have rusty spare tyre wheel wells , so I recently cut one out of an E21 and welded it into the 2002 seems to work well, looks pretty close to original .

I did as Tim suggests, worked very well and the price was much better.
