Guest Anonymous
URL: http://home.earthlink.net/~nharren/index.html fully warmed up before looking for a hesitation. The choke can stick and cause major hesitation! That said, it sounds like there is a need to clean the carb, it may have clogged passages through the transitional ports (like Carl said). All in all, sounds like a good cleaning and rebuild is in order.
Guest Anonymous
what does that mean? I'm new with carbs

Guest Anonymous
I think the cleaning would help. Ill clean it and post what I find out. Thanks Andy Rattley
Guest Anonymous
URL: http://home.earthlink.net/~nharren/index.html Check the float level too.
Guest Anonymous
If it's inop or incorrectly plumbed it can cause a nasty hesitation.

Guest Anonymous
...when does the hesitation occur (e.g., what RPM, light throttle, full throttle, etc)? Chris B. '73 ex-Malaga
Guest Anonymous
Fine. So it only hessitates if I go heavy on the throttle. Thanks Andy Rattley
Guest Anonymous
Sounds like idle circuits too lean... will cause hesitation, stumbling in transition stage. Chris B. '73 ex-Malaga
Guest Anonymous
you're getting a squirt from it when you work the accelerator linkage? No squirt=bad pump/linkage/blockage in the internal piping...lack of accelerator pump action will cause a hesitation when suddenly accelerating. Guest Anonymous
I'm having the same problem with it wanting to die when I step on it. I screwed the idle mixture screw in almost all the way and it got better, but still has some problem. Gotta clean mine out though.
