Can't any archived messages over 'there', or any where else to help me figure out how to make my stock '71 seat back recline. Somewhere along the line the hinges lost 'timing'- right side of seat is at least one notch behind left side, resulting in a twisted seat back. Good on right turns but not at all helpful on hard lefts. When I removed right side hinge, the transverse bar that actuates recline was retained in the hinge by a hose clamp! (p.o.'s nri) How's it supposed to be? How does the recline mechanism work? Should I be able to actuate the hinge on my bench? Haynes is worthless- Please help!!
