You don't want the timing slipping. The missing tooth has a very specific position. I wouldn't do anything but tom's pulley.

Well except if you do Tom's pulley and a hamlin hall sensor to simplify your life by using LS3 coils and skipping edis. By the way, it's easier to troubleshoot, more powerful and less expensive.

Is that Tom's sensor mount or did you make one specific for the Hamlin hall sensor?

It's tom's sensor mount with an adapter that Tom made to fit the hamlin sensor in the same location as the VR sensor.

The benefit of hall sensors is that they are digital square wave output. The VR sensor is analog and has to go through digital conversion inside megasquirt. I figure it's better to just start with a digital signal. Also the hall sensors don't have any issues with noise and require no shielded wire.
