Corn Kernel/Door Latch Buffer Installation

Recommended Posts

Just a simple tip... I found that placing the plastic corn kernel in boiling water for about a minute softens it up just enough to pop right onto the latch with finger pressure, but not enough to make it lose it's "snap" feature for long term retention.

you must have gotten really old stock

it should really just mush right on

only $0.47 from any BMW dealer

old 5 and 6 series cars use them also

no boiling required.

even old "kernels" pop right on the door latch without splitting...and in a pinch you can use a short scrap of rubber or plastic tubing...
