Happy 38th Birthday to Celeste

A great celebration of my car's build day today after she carried me trouble-free 765 miles to Winston-Salem this past weekend. My wife Susan always asks why I keep doing things to the car - my response like many others here is "work is never done on old cars".

Here she is on Saturday next to Don Derham and his Inka '73

Still to do:

Install 3.91:1 LSD

Replace (original!) ball joints

Install Silicone Garage radiator (on the way now)

Recover E21 Recaros that I've had for several years

Upgrade A/C compressor (bracket already purchased)

Replace/fix rear window seal

Replace rear main seal on engine

Install larger sway bars

Raise rear suspension up a little

Hey Jim, I see you're going to raise your rear end. I've got two sets of stock rear springs (early and late) about 1in difference in height., if you need them let me know. Free of course.

Thanks Dave! I have the original springs that were removed when I put the H&R's in. Rear has 3-dot rubber spacers already. Will add the aluminum ones from the front to see what that does.

Thanks Earl! Always good knowing an original owner - wish I had been. Your Mikunis are sounding good.

One of my favorites from last year.

I am honored to be part of the Vintage BMW crowd. Cheers to Doug Murray who supplied this amazing bottle of beer that was perfect for an impromtu "toast" to Celeste.

BMW Certificate courtesy of PO Matthew Reinhart in MD. My thanks to PO Jeremy Davenport in MA for passing along the great historical documents.
