Shannon Essex, brother of Shad here from the board. is now living up here in the North Valley. His 1970 CS is really a nice ride. gets your heart pumping driving next to it.

We drove up to the Cool April Nights car show in Redding. Got there too late to park with all of the hot rods. There was one MG about 6 Minies and a few VWs. I kept falling for the Mopars on Saturday. Just love the odd stuff you do not see every day.

We will be planning some drives for the summer. let us know if you are interested in driving all of the twisty roads up here.

I'm jealous Joe of the weather and cars and driving...

Over here...

There is a small house on a corner lot near Marshall's place. I've driven by it many a times and noticed several large cars under covers in the front yard. I could tell at least one was an old '60's T-bird . Sunday, the weather was really nice and I did a double-take on the way home from borrowing some tools. I think the guy had at least one Plymouth Road Runner (maybe a '68?) and another car. Will have to get a closer look.

Joe, looks like I and the Turbo should be out in early August. I'm in Nevada City this week trying to clean up from all the winters storm damage. The walnuts got hammered. Looking forward to year round '02ing!

Jim - Yes we are lucky here in the valley - Little rust to speak of.

Here are some more pics ( click to enlarge) Wish I had taken more.

The Black one is a 61 Pontiac Ventura 4-speed Bubble Top!

Here is a video I pulled off utube. Need to do the cruise one of these years.

Hey!

I know those guyz!

Either of you two 'ballin' at the end of this month? Should still be some snow at the higher elevations. I gotta get new tires this week, just for the rally.

Shad - I finally put it togethor late Saturday that you were Shannon's Brother. Red Bluff will eventually make his coupe sprout Duellies and a bale of hay if we don't keep it at high RPM's. The RR is a fine Casa Grande!

Starting to plan a drive for Sunday May 1st. Go up either 36 or 32 East, Then around Lake Alminor to lunch in Quincy. We should be able to cross paths with the Snow Ball Ralley and then come back down Hwy 70, Feather River Canyon. Then Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico. That would be great if you could make it Shad.

Steve Jackson we will see you in Quincy, unless they change the route.

Jim- Love Studebaker ttrucks- We saw a yellow Champ flat bed on the road with an old farmer driving it.

Hey there my Bavarian bros!

yes sir, good times with good folks.

Yes, there are lots of real nice, EMPTY roads up here to stretch out on, that's for sure! I hear the local volcanoes rumbling for some cool vintage/classic metal ripping through the hills....
