Since I am going to be leaving in a week I would rather keep this local for now then when I return from my week vacation I will start selling to anyone (shipping things). Just makes it easier on me so I don't forget. But without further ado im parting a 74 with mostly good steel (nose, fenders, doors, etc) everything is for sale but the engine right now. So if you're local drop me a line and we'll talk parts!

Does anyone know if the nose and hood are the same as an early's ('72)?

The nose is not the same.

That car looks too nice to part out! Hopefully someone gives the shell a new life...

Thanks. I'd take the hood if it will fit. I'm up in Everett so it'd be pretty simple coming to take a look.

I'm not local, but I'm interested in a trunk lock with key.

Let me know if it's available when you decide to start parting to the rest of us.

Sadly it doesnt have a key and the other one I have doesnt either.

The hood has a good crease in it across the top, it's the worst part of sheetmetal on the whole car.

As per the condition of the car it's titleless, and has a good deal of cancer in the rear spare tire well, under the rear seats and some in other spots on the under body, the nose panel has also been poorly replaced for some reason and the wiring is wack. And there is a lot of other random WTF things in this car, the rear subframe is barely bolted in and the CV joints on one side has no boots. It was just a weird car so I decided to tear it apart to make other live on!

I will start selling non local after April 12th or so as an FYI. Until then it's for locals.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
