Recommended Posts

Your right you hate monger. You can feel and believe all the hate you want. But I have the right to point you out as a hatemonger and de humanizing POC that you are.The same goes for frenchee and thadd. This is a forum about cars. You choose to bring your hate and prejudice here. And FLAUNT IT. TAKE YOUR HATE TO SKINHEAD BOARDS. Like your not there already. You should also realize your crap is permanente and all future employers will see you for the crap you are....Please keep posting your crap as it guarantee's everyone will know you for what you are....Esty, are you like a 400# white male biker. Your head games and BS are very Male.

Richard, you are out of line talking about frenchee this way. You picked a bad time to get on your high horse and people have called you out. Please Have the decency and emotional maturity to allow this thread to die.

I had no problem with Frenchee's joke, neither did my girlfriend (who also happens to work with people who have experienced DV and sexual abuse). For me the tone a joke is told in does more to determine its offensiveness than the content. My gf has relayed some pretty nasty ones which she has heard from people at work-obviously these jokes are a way of processing trauma for people who see the worst humanity has to offer on a daily basis.

For those who wanted links from Richard here are several titles to look up. (and a URL which may or may not work)

"How Many Feminists Does It Take to Make A Joke? Sexist Humor and What's Wrong with It"

"More than just a joke"

These resources will do a much better job of making Richard's point than he did, draw what conclusions you may.

I realized through all this talk, there were no HIV jokes so I googled it and found this. It's a double-whammy!

I was diagnosed with HIV last week. The doctor said, "you need to contact all the people you've had sex with in the past two years."

I said, "that's an awful lot of women, but I should be able to help with identifying about 50%."

He said, "wow, most people struggle to name one or two - do you keep records?"

I said, "no, the police do, but unfortunately half of all rapes go unreported."

otis...you let me down...

Well, I tried - four out of the five are pictures of biker chicks in black.

But, I'll take the challenge. To get this straight - the photos that are sought have all of the the following characteristics: ethnic diversity, females (although as I noted earlier, equal time for men and for she-males - or maybe ladyboys), and "bikers" (presumably motorcycles, not bicycles). They must be Southern Baptists, liberal leaning in political views, and they must enjoy piping hot, half-caf, no whip, soy lattes. Perhaps they should even wear blue sneakers. And, they should be incapable of determining when to use "your" versus "you're" -- as in "You're right, you hate monger" rather than, "Your right you hate monger."

Oh, and the photos must be "degrading."

Well, that's a tough one. Like you, Esty, I found no "safe" content using the search terms that you specify. But (butt?) I'll keep searching. For now, how is this? The first picture, that is. The second picture below fails all of the search criteria - but I like it, anyway. In the meantime, how I wish I were a motorcycle seat -- that is, provided that none of these young ladies has HIV.

PS - one final question, if I may. I did not see the original joke. It had been deleted by the time I arrived here. But, it has something to do with a female engine. And the subsequent premise was, somehow the female engine would lead to violent behavior. Query - does this have anything to do with (or how does the premise reconcile with) the Female Engine of Destruction?

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
