the dizzy and run the ignition system on the e21. can you just trace the wires coming off the dizzy and see where they lead, aka to a set of two "modules", one on the firewall and one on the fender, allegedly. i think. this all came from someone who has converted several 320 motors to carbed applications in 02s, using all the BMW iggy stuff. THANKS!!

I got ya. If you use the Volvo system, throw the 320i modules far, far away. You don't need them. The 320i should only have 1 module anyway, not 2. It lives on the drivers side inner fender, and is about1.5"x2". It has 7(maybe 8) pins, and should have a Bosch part number on it. FYI, they are all the same, whether from a BMW, or a VW. The Volvo has a completely different setup, and doesn't use modules like BMW/VW. If you still can't figure it out, I can shoot a pic of a module. I've got about 10 of them in my tool chest.

off the one .5"x2" module. I however think there are

different modules. I think the 320 and 318 ones are

different. I've at least seen different part numbers

on them. I'll look at the car in the daylight tomorrow,

though and see what I see.
