Guest Anonymous
Well, it's official. I have a blown rod bearing. First the accident, then the head gasket, then the transmission and now the rod bearing. I kinda' laughed when we figured it out. At this point what can I do? It seems the oil pump was on it's last leg and it was just a matter of a few miles of driving that blew the bearing. The thing that sucks is that the Oil Pressure light didn't come on until the car idled. Plus there were no sounds or power loss signs for me to notice at the time it happened. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a good shop in the Bay Area where I can have the small block re-machined and rebuilt? Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, Happy Easter! Thanks in advance Sako
