Guest Anonymous
...if I want to drive my car around for the summer w/o the heater, what do I need to do? Do I just need to get some coolant hose and converter ends (male-male) to close the loop for the coolant system? If so, what size is the hose? Thanks much! Guest Anonymous
1. yes, the easiest approach is to join the two hoses together, although you could plug each at the end without ill effect. 2. depends on what year car you have and whether you have the original heater core. Just measure the ID of the hoses when you pull them from the heater core to get the correct plug or connector. Chris B. Guest Anonymous
I'm operating from memory here, but can't you just loop a length of 3/4" or so heater hose from the fitting on the intake to the one on the back of the head?
Guest Anonymous
3/4" would be a little tight, but would likely be AOK. Chris B. '73 ex-Malaga
