Repairing the pivot bracket on my Recaro.

The problem: the bracket was loose on the drivers seat. One of the screws that holds the bracket to the bottom of the seat was loose, and when I took the bracket out, the thread that is welded to the seat frame was gone.

The solution: I went to Lowes, purchased a 3/8 Tee Nut. They have the flat ones that have holes in them, which is perfect. Went to a bolt/nut shop to get a countersunk/flat 3/8 screw. I then used pop rivets to attach the tee nut to the hole on the frame, and proceeded to put the bracket back in place.

Perfect!!

Hope this may help someone in the future. Total cost: $1.90.

Cheers
