"Keying" Just makes you sick to look at

I've considered mounting a small camera facing forward and aft more for documenting any collisions (and entertainment value) - just not sure how feasible it would be though.

That idea may have come in handy to catch the low-life that did this.

Lance: You don't do it.

Thats a sad sight!

ITS JUST NOT CRICKET!

My malaga 02 got keyed last year.

I mean, im nothing near rich, and the only reason my car is so shiney is because I wash/wax (and polish if needed) my cars once or twice a week. Its DAMN hard work and then someone thinks they bringing me back to earth! IT P!$$ES ME OFF!

If i could find my and your culprits, i would key their b@!!sacks..

Sorry for the rant

Regards

Jacques

Thanks Esty, I have a few ideas to try when I can actually stand to look at it. Got a deeper one down the passenger side a couple of years ago, but it is not so obvious, unless you get down low.

Dang Steve

Sorry to see that I can imagine how mad I would get if that happened. But at least you get the joys of driving it!!!!!!!

Hope it all works out

I am NOT going to stop driving it every day. It still drives great, even with a few scratches. I won't let their total lack of joy and respect for other's property take away my joy of living and driving...I won't give them that power. Still irritates the crap out of me though.

I agree with our 02 brother in South Africa...."it's not cricket"!!

WTF! I looked at your post when you first put it up. Made me so freaking bad I just closed it. Still makes me mad. Seriously if I saw/caught someone doing that I might end up in Jail. What a freaking loser (or losers). Bumms me out seeing that done to anyone's car.

work since I work on a military base where (1) folks are pretty careful and (2) the same cars park in pretty much the same spaces day after day.

My next door neighbor managed to run the mower deck control lever on his riding mower down the side of my E30 several years ago--hard enough to actually crease the metal, wheel well to wheel well. He denied it of course even after I showed him how the lever's height and end knob exactly matched the crease on my car. But he's a jerk anyway...I warned him about getting anywhere near my new truck--now he mows about five feet from my vehicles! But of course he didn't do it the first time. He drives junkers so wouldn't even notice any revenge...

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
