Paging CD...Are car and bike Voltage Regulators the same?

Thanks for the info. Real OEM have the voltage regulator listed for the BMW cars, but only mention the slash 2 bikes, the model before the slash 5. It as start. If true, I can flood the bike world with our left over parts.

I hear the police bike regulators are the best to have. I wonder why? Do they charge early in the rpm's?

= yes - max charging at lower rpm (1700 rpm?)

for idling, stop and go city, short running periods

may over charge for constant "touring' long distance at

higher rpm (constant cruising at 3000+ rpm?) = use 'normal' regulator

but all this is for the inside-alternator regulator

for /7 and later motorcycles -

don't know about the external regulator as you
