The above quote was taken from a BMW internal memo in 1969. It states the following:

"All automobiles under the 02 designation henceforth, are to be painted Colorado orange after the installation of time release salt capsules, but before final exterior alternate paint is applied. This order comes from the Chief Executive of Bayern Motern Werk"

...so you see...they're ALL Colorado on the inside. :-)
