Lee,

Sorry for the hefty lag time ... wanted to post up that I got my seats with your adapters mounted in the car. No pics yet (wouldn't want anyone to see the bilge tank that's impersonating the interior of my car). Everything fit perfectly, no issues whatsoever. Really a very nice product, Lee. Looking forward to doing business with you in the future.

thanks again,

Austin

Hi everyone

Here are the production Recaro adapters for 2002s. They now are fully CNC machined, anodized, and compatible with 6mm and 8mm bolts. Just flip the adapters. They also are thinner/lower at 1/4" thick.

The adapters are compatible with 261mm (front to rear) bolt patterns (4 and 6 bolts). If you have a newer Recaro with the 297mm pattern, then you are out of luck, unless you want to drill an extra hole at the rear...

The adapters are now available and ready to ship.

The GB list seems to have only included one person (3PinFever). Therefore he will be the only one to be eligible for GB price at $160.00cdn / pair (two seats) + $25.00cdn shipping as the GB is now over.

3PinFever please contact me before Monday March 28th to be eligible to the GB price.

Regular price is now $100.00cdn per set (one seat) + $20.00cdn shipping or $25.00cdn for two sets. Only cdn funds are accepted from now on. Paypal addy is massivebrakes@gmail.com

Canadian residents please add 5% GST to the total.

Thanks everyone.

Why doesn't anyone post a pic of these installed?

People will probably start posting pictures this summer when they install their seats. I have produced and sold perhaps 10 dozen of Recaro adapters for e30s, and I don't have one picture. I guess that when people are happy they just don't bother... ;-) I managed to find one or two shot by Googling though...

The new black anodized adapters are gorgious BTW.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
