Very interesting.

I am the owner of Paul's old Fjord tii. My transaction last year was pretty smooth with him; it was a long distance purchase, and I was less than easy to work with because I was traveling a lot and had to keep him waiting on funds as a result. He was always honest with me, and I never had any reason to believe otherwise. I picked up my car, drove it back to California and have since been in touch with him with no undue problem.

I did have an interesting occurance though with registration; my VIN was registered to a '73 Porsche 911 with the Texas DMV. The DMV cleared that up, and I'm ok now, but it did make registration a pain in the ass. I have full records of my car, and so I have no doubt about the validity of my VIN. I does bring some common behavior to like though that I assumed was a simple mistake...

Take above info for what you will. I'm not particularly interested in getting involved in any legal business in which I do not belong, but will always express my honest and truthful experience, as I believe anyone else should.

Better contact me VIA PM or email.

FYI:

2763393 was for sale in the BMW Roundel magazine several times from '94 to '97 by an Owner in NY.

It was stated to be Red with Black interior, sunroof and had been totally restored.

wow, this is some crazy stuff. I do recall the specifics of that. you were looking for a "parts car" and that is what I though I sold you and I had made it very clear what I had. I think you paid me like $200 including an engine...

I sold you very rusty tub along w/ all parts for for a whole car scrap.

that was a long time ago and I'm sorry you don't recall what you bought or what you bought it for. I never misrepresented anything.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
