Only getting 6V on brand new battery. Why?!

Brand new battery and alternator. Brand new battery cables, all grounds cleaned and secure, everything hooked up right. Not even enough power to turn on warning lights. Tell me what is happening here...

Battery has been charged. The charger says it's fully charged. The charger is relatively new, and should be working. Maybe I just got a bad battery?

Happy happy meter time-

if you only see 6v at the terminals, you have a dud battery.

If you've got 13.2 v at the batt, then start tracing to see where the bad connection/ground/wire is...
