It's fixed. Picked up my driveshaft with two new u-joints and new centerbearing. Installed everything last night and she is running again. i am now running two Nissan u-joints. they are solid and easier to replace then BMW ones.

the cost was $200 including 1 hour labor, 2 u-joints and center bearing and next day fed ex shipping charge for the bearing. It is a sliding type of the shaft. The shaft is originally out of an e30 m3. But shotened to fit with my e36 m3 tranny and engine.

When the shaft was built for this aplication they used replacable joints, so it was easy to replace them this time. The shop that did the work does not have the proper equipment to ballance BMW shafts, but it was assambled in the same way as before with the only parts replace are the joints, so it stayed ballanced.

There are two u-joints on the shaft. One by the center bearing and the other is by the diff. One broke the other one was replaced just because the shaft was already out .
