Another fuel line/vent question

I recently picked up my first '02, a 74 in poor shape with unknown history. I would guess it's mostly stock except for Mikunis. I just put it on the road for the first time in the last 9 years of it's history. The guy who pulled it out of a barn put a new electric fuel pump on. I saw the recent posts on venting the tank through the trunk floor. That works for me.

What about the third fuel line; maybe originaly a return line? Mine ends under the engine on the driver's side frame rail. The first time I put gas in the car, gas poured out on the ground. Should I just cap this one in the trunk?

That's for any ideas. This one is a real project.
