what's the best one to go that's not going to give you problems later on?

what's the best bang for the buck, what really works, what doesn't?

i was thinking about rebuilding the shifter (as per Steve's write up on the list), but getting the UUC shifter to put in there, but would like to hear what everyone else thinks...

thanks,

Dave

Love Colorado!!!! I'll just have to find a hiding place for it :-)

As for the shifter, I am interested in the same thing. My '72tii has a stock 4-speed (out of the car currently)...and I was thinking of upgrading to a short shifter (albeit a 4-speed).

Happy '02ing,

John

Is that for a 4 spd or 5 spd?

The did not have a specific -02 application listed on their site, last time I checked.

Was the kit you got listed in their catalog, or how was it identified? I had been looking at their stuff, but never called them to ask yet.

the kit is for a 5speed. it ws not listed on their site, but i was able to order it over the phone. I cannot remember the model for the kit right now, but i remember that i got the wrong kit first and it was hitting the shaft. Had to send it back and get a different one.

very cool steve thanks for the info.

it's for a 4 speed. do they still have a kit for it?

and even more importantly do we have anything set up w/UUC so that the list can get some bucks back? (always gotta look out for the hand that feeds ya...=)
