Unusual clutch disc in 72tii?

Recommended Posts

Solid (unsprung) center clutches are for racing only. They would also have a more aggressive friction surface.Almost impossible to start off without spinning the wheels with a solid racing clutch.

You are correct. Sorry, I should have clarified my response.

Most of the discs I've seen have springs in the outer perimeter and a solid method of securing the hub.

Here is the old 228mm disc I removed from my 73tii. It has springs but a solid center section (no fingers like the one I removed from the other engine).
