And they are different than the later ones. They don't have a handle, but a nut you put your lug wrench on. That's how they fit in the spare tire well. They mount near the center of the trunk.

I can get a pic sometime if I remember (no digital, but I might could borrow one from work). It's on the edge of the spare tire well right beside the longitudinal divider that supports the trunk boards. Fastens down with a wing nut on a threaded stud. I haven't found a good place for the wrench, which is just wrapped in a towel and stuck beside the spare.

my jack has the handle on it. It must be the one from my old 76. I should have the right one laying around some where... I have a wing nut, a small square bracket and I can see where there is a mounting surface in the spare tire well near the center divider...

my parts are most likely from the 76....
