Exactly, mine is similar to one in the second link but has a dark anodized finish (model #CQ-VX5500K). VU metres glow orange! And cheers to Mr. Blunt for that fresh centre console.

Michael,

I brought a car stereo back from HK once and I had problems with receiving AM/FM reception here in the states.are you having any issues getting local AM/FM reception?

I installed a frequency shifter in-line with the radio antenna. It receives virtually all FM stations except for anything in the 103.1 MHz - 104.1 MHz block. That's not a big deal for me, but the frequency shifter allows you to select different ranges that might better suit your station preferences. I'm pretty happy with the setup.
