Guest Anonymous
how does one remove the selector shaft seal while the transmission is in the car? It is a 245 5sp Any experience with this? Bill
Guest Anonymous
I ordered a replacement seal from Carl Nelson when mine started to leak. He said I could leave the old seal in there and just install the new one on top of it. I did and it works fine.

Guest Anonymous
I used a tip from someone else, which was to sharpen a small thin blade screwdriver, then cut a notch in the side. I used a dremel tool and it was very easy. Then insert scredriver past edge of seal, turn and pull. youll have to work it around but it came out very easily this way for me. Guest Anonymous
I then punched it in like others have said... looks like it'll work fine. I will see when the UPS guy gets here with the goodies. Bill
