crank pulley nut

If the flywheel is on, wedge a big screwdriver, prybar, piece of strong metal into the teeth through the starter hole or rear engine lifting hole.

If flywheel is off (usual if rear mounted to engine stand), put a couple of flywheel bolts in and wedge a strong piece of metal/wood between them and the engine stand.

the nut is regular threaded right? ie. lefty loosey, righty tighty,

so facing the pulley I want to loosen the nut

counterclockwise, thanks for advice

Big screwdriver or rod across the clutch bolts, or if no flywheel is mounted, across the flywheel bolts. Replace these bolts later.
