Guest Anonymous
Anybody ever had a leak near the dipstick where it goes into the block? I am dropping the pan this weekend and wondering what part or problem it is so I can fix it. Just another day working on the now 1 year project! Guest Anonymous
the lower part of the dipstick presses into the block. Stick it back in with some sealant. Chris B. '73 ex-Malaga

Guest Anonymous
Thanks, I guess I will see that when the pan is out. 72 Malaga
Guest Anonymous
often the tube will work loose, or an overexuberant leak- fixer will overtighten it, crimp it, and it will leak even more... take it apart, and you'll see. On the press- fit ones, clean it up really well and Loctite Sleeve and Bearing retainer will help. t
