Yes Yes possible kitten death but damned if I could find it in the search. I am converting to 318EFI. My throttle system is totally stock right now.

I am using the 325 Throttle Body. Anyone sell a conversion kit or have a thread on making a setup?

Yeah I read that. Gives very little detail about this part. I was hoping someone might have a blog on this section that was detailed. Or at least some detailed photos showing the setup at the firewall and at the intake. I have not seen one of these conversions in person so I have zero to draw from right now

There was a guy from Atlanta who finished his car a year ago or so, forgot his

faq id. He and his girl friend (at the time) installed a new headliner using paper clips. He has details about the linkage. I used the parts I mentioned from my tii for the 318i EFi conversion. You need to make one more bracket bolted on the intake. Check finkbuilt (or something) for MS EFI conversion. He has some pictures.I can send you some pictures of my set up this weekend.

Please post your findings? I too have searched the archives but never found an exact solution. I'm probably going to stick with the 318 throttle body (for starters) but the linkage shouldn't be too different.

If somebody comes up with a kit... it looks like there is money to be made...

just sayn....

I used a universal Lokar 18 or 20 inch cable I got from Ebay for $15. You will need to modify your 02 throttle rod to use this cable. I cut the throttle rod in half and welded a plate with a hole to attach the Lokar cable. It worked well during the first install. I will be re-installing my F.I. this weekend (hopefully) after getting a few more parts I needed. Good luck.

I am in the midst of an EFI conversion myself. Here are a few pics that others have posted to the FAQ or on their sites. I need to get my cylinder head back together and on the car so I can mount the intake and really tackle this issue.

I know this is old, but could you send me some picture of your throttle linkage?

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
