There are two common approaches to refurbing a dash:

1. Custom stitched cover via Blunt (already posted by Esty) or your local upholstery shop.

2. Complete rebuild / recover - Just Dashes - http://www.justdashes.com/

- I think there's another place up in Oregon that also rebuilds dashes

Personally - I like the custom stitched approach but the concours crowd will likely prefer the Just Dashes approach because its more "original".

Thanks. Will likely go with Just Dashes for the show car.

What's the best option? Concours show car, money no object, etc. . . . . .

GO FUCK YOURSELF, KID.

Whoaa....

Why get your undies in a Bunch?

In the words of Rodney King: "I ain't gettin' in dat Polees Car..." Ooops, Wait! I mean... "Why can't we all get along...?"

Cheers!

Really Cost No Object??? If I were looking this is the route I would take.

Get much deeper than the FAQ in the scene and ask around, there are collectors and companies in the US that might have an NOS two piece dash set. Carl Nelson would be a good start.

Find a parts house in Europe that has an NOS one..... Ask these guys for a source. It's best that you speak a bit of German though.....

Contact BMW Classic and have them make you a new one; Mercedes and Porsche do it.
