Alot of folks are using the plastic/aluminum radiator that works great, however comes with some compromises. The need to find a work around for the lower hose and the fact the radiator is basically a throw away unit when/if damaged. The early 1977-1978 (2.0 Litre) 320i is a brass/copper essentially the same type manufacture as the original in our cars as delivered. The 2002 original lower radiator hose requires no modification as supplied, and the radiator can be repaired by any competent radiator shop if required. I have run a 1977 320i rad in my 02 since 1986.
