Style 10 Wheels

Does anyone have pics of an 02 with 15" Style 10's (later E30 wheels)? The one below is all I've been able to find. I recently learned that my 5 spoke 15" fittipaldis have a 56.1 bore diameter vs. the standard 57.1 for bmw. While they work now, they won't with the 320i/Volvo brakes I have planned. I can't decide between the 10's or some form of BBS. If anyone has a pic on a polaris car, that'd be awesome.

Thanks for all the pics! I really do like that style. It's a little more unique than the BBS and though more modern, still seems to flow with the character of the car.

Mark: I got the wheels as a stop-gap because I needed to get the car on the road (and they were on craigslist for the right money). However, they are ET38 and I have to run spacers in the front. If I'm going to spend the money to open them up (probably $100 for all 4), I'd rather just spend it on factory wheel that's hubcentric from the get-go.

odd, i had 5 lug versions of this wheel on my e34  - very nice style

Not odd.  BMW wheels are often available for different models in the same style.  Style 10 "star spokes" came as:

3er E30 - 7x15 ET 24
3er E36 - 7x15 ET 47
3er E46 - 7x15 (316i-323i)
5er E34 - 7x15 ET 20, 8x17 ET 20, 8x17 front ET 20, 9x17 rear ET 22
7er E32 - 7x15 ET 20, 8x17 front ET 20, 9x17 rear ET 26

I've been looking for a wheel for my car for a long time.  I've kept the steelies on for now but, that's a really sharp look on the 2002.  Craigslist, here I come!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
