WTB: Upper throttle linkage coupling for 73tii

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a new(er) upper coupling.

The pin that secures the throttle return spring is almost worn thru on the upper coupling. Per the parts book, looks like I need # 13 54 1 257 036 which is just called an "arm". Max's website indicates NLA.

See pics of my existing single-pinch bolt unit. I already have a new lower vertical linkage piece.

Loose coupling on cowl.

Piece on the left.

Here it is installed in the car

make friends with someone who has a Tig welder. i'm fortunate to have access to some VERY good welders at work. and yes, i've had them drop a bead on that exact same part. used a hand file to reshape to form.

i haven't tried a Mig weld on that stuff, but, with a quick spot weld, should work. files and patience are your friend
