Just sweetend the deal, I just bought Ireland engineering Urethane bushing for the front and the back. These are $130.00 value before shipping. $4,000 will take no less. 1972 BMW model:2002. 4-cyl. 2.0L was rebuilt and bored to a 2.1L. (very fuel efficient) Stock 4-speed tranny was replaced with 5-speed. After market 32/36 Weber carb. Stock open rear diff. was replaced with a Limited Slip Dif. (LSD) 3.91. It has a 2002 turbo exhaust and headers (Awesome sound). 15" BBS rims. Stage 2 Sport (Ireland Engineering) front and rear springs. New polyurethane motor and trans. mounts. All New Carpet, Headliner, and Seats. Lots of upgrades and new parts on this car (Thermostat, water pump, radiator, license plate lights, front strut tower bearings, plugs & wires, battery, guibo/flex disc, fuel filter, windshield washer pump, steering wheel, ipod dock/stereo deck, seat belt to name a few off the top of my head). Also comes with two chrome mirrors, not yet installed. Very fun vehicle, handles great. Great heat!, no A/C, heat valve is actually stuck open so heat all the time :(. Call me with any questions. 6514681065 my name is Jay. I personally have over $8,000 into this car. Rocker Panels are solid. A few minor dings and a couple small spots of paint bubbling on driver door. All lights work along with the horn, windshield wipers, etc. Would consider a full or partial trade for a vehicle that will get me through the winter. Selling only because I am going to school and cannot afford to own a car that can only get me through 3/4 of a Minnesota year (This is why i will consider a trade, need something for the winter).

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
