Car Show Pics (Italian lovers?)

Recommended Posts

Attached are some pictures from our local car show in Rockville, Maryland taken yesterday. This is NOT a big BMW event - but very popular for many other makes/models (over 400 cars). There were a couple of E9's, a Euro 1985 shark nose, and my 2002. Italian makes and models of all types were the featured vehicles this year. There was some very unusual and interesting Italian cars -- so Italian lovers will like these.

1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial Series (had Gran Prix class victories driven by Castellotti and Rubirosa; judged a 100 point car in 2008 winning at Pebble Beach; his owner has had the car 50 years and when he moved from California to Virginia DROVE it cross country; aluminum body, 1500 lbs, 2.0 litre class, 185 bhp; NICEST car in show in my opinion)

1964 Bizzarrini 5300 GT Coupe (Bizzarrini was an engineer for Ferrari and Lamborghini; Rivet alloy body; Chevy engine; 425 hp)

1971 Intermeccanica Italia

1967 Iso Grifo GL

1958 Ferrari Ellena Coupe

1959 Abarth Zagato 750 GT Coupe

1960 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

1959 Ferrari 250 Tour de France

Its GERMAN - an Amphicar (but it has a Triumph 47 hp engine) (his owner regularly takes it into our local rivers; yes, it did have some rust (but what you expect for an amphicar?) -- it was very cool)

356 stable
