fuel pump prob on my 73

My (oem mech) fuel pump is leaking gas from the where the internal diaphragm sits. As it seems to be a sealed unit, is there (other than R/R) a way to rebuild it?

My guess would be no. I have not had to deal with this prob in quite some time and any help is appreciated.

If there are any good used pumps for sale please let me know.

I've got one from my 74 - you can have it for postage. Pretty sure it works, I replaced it "just in case".

covering you.

Putting on a used pump that's been

inactive, and USED for years - is like you wearing your brothers underpants in the shower to wash them !?

I can probably get it into a 5 dollar priority mail box - let me double check on that. Although, I kind of agree with CD - if you're going to take the time to remove it and put in a different one, you might want to look into putting a new one on. Mine came off in working order a few months ago, so it's probably not all that bad, but....

Aren't the 73 and 74 fuel pumps different? I'm a noob so correct me if I'm wrong. Won't you need the shaft from the 74 also to make that pump work?
