Hi there

this is my project for my BMW 2002 from 1973.

What i want is having a rally car that i can to use like "daily car", make some historic rallyes.

- Engine is going to be the M10, 45s twin webers , 304 schrick cams, lighten up a bit the crankshaft, big valves, etc etc etc... the gearbox will be a custom ZF close 5 speed (rallye raports)

- Big Brakes: discs are brembo ventilated and drilled, with e21 hubs, and volvo 244turbo Brake Calipers

- Suspension - Bilsteins Sport with eibach pro kit springs

- LSD 40% from E21

- The color, it will be white and black or just white.

- Wheels - Ronal Kleeblatt in 7"

I need pictures or information about GS Tuning cars...dont find much in the web, just a catalog and 7 or 8 photos of the road version, if someone have more please post here

hi there,

the color is going to stay original - chamonix weiss.

i bought the flares, the piece of metal you see in the picture is to suport the flare, and at the same time it gives strength to the car, so you dont have any torsion on the chassis

in the next weekend i will put some photos of the car already painted

by the way, do you guys know here can i buy a "cheap" set of bbs E30 or an HTNs???

all the best

hello,

the flares cost about 800€, bought in "OLD RACERS", its a company in portugal - Lisbon of old racing cars. i think the flares comes from France.

you have in germany a company that seels those to. were do you live?

it fits very very well in the car, and super lightweight, make just some small ajustments, i have a album were you can see the work on the car, made by me, and the old owner. at the time the car is alredy painted, but i have no photos yet.

humm

i know the Fernando car, very very nice. but the rear flares are diferent from mine, fernando rear flares cover the tire a bit, mine is like a semi-circle.

do you try korman fast: http://www.kormanautoworks.com/index.html

in europe you have:

http://www.schmidt-gfk.de/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10&Itemid=11 (very very good)

my front flares fits very good in the car, but you always have to cut here and there, but not much...the only thing i do in mine is to cut like 3mm next to the turn signal.

i dont know the company name in france but my flares are the same that Michael Cahsel sells

sad the front flares from Korman arent good, because i dont know about the shipping cost from europe to US, the body kit is quite expensive, so you have to see if is good buying in europe and then ship to US. maybe its better if you buy korman kits and make some adjustments

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
