long neck vs normal diff. how to tell, whats difference.

shortneck--and no, the longneck driveshaft isn't the proper length for a 5 speed conversion--unfortunately. Longneck diffs also use the "U-joint/CV joint" rear axle shafts vs the 2 x CV joint shafts on the shortneck cars.

The changeover on 2002s was at VIN 1664761--cars built after than VIN have shortnecks--which also entails a different rear subframe as well as the driveshaft and axles.
