You have to be really old to remember this and I'll bet most of you never heard about it.

As far as I recall, this engine was also available for boats in a turbocharged version although I can’t find any info to confirm that.

the m30 was made available for marine use as well.

Maybe that's where the M10 powered Elva's I've seen sourced their nifty side mount distributor housings? The bellhousing and outdrive adapter would be an interesting device to extend with a pipe to facilitate installation of a rear mounted transaxle. (Nothing I'm interested in doing but discussed many times before on the FAQ)

Last time I visited the Zemtrum, in February 2008, they had an M10 marine engine in their display of vintage BMW engines. I have several pictures. They are too large to post. I'll try to edit them smaller.

The Zentrum engine is the same configuration as the website you posted the link to.

One of the older Roundels (from Bill Riblett) has a picture of a 6-cylinder BMW marine engine with outboard drive.
