Custom seat brackets are a pain

So after a few days this is what I have come up with for the rear bracket. This is for Sparco Fighter bottom mount seats. The trick is getting them centered and low enough for me to wear a helmet.

My POS old 110 mig welder managed to make the metal stick to one another. Looks like my 3 year old did it but it's strong.

I got my seats as low as I could while still leaving the factory sheet metal mounts and there is no way I could get a helmet on in my car. My hair already is touching the headliner. I am however 6'3" so that doesn't help. Ill have to think of something if I ever plan to auto-X this thing.

The Sparco seat rails are a lot closer together than the stock seats. By placing the rails between the stock mounts you can get lower. However this is where I needed to make a mount going directly to the floor. Bolted all up, there was some flexing of the floor if I wiggled around in the seat a lot. So that's where I decided to make those 'wings" to mount to the rear stock mounts. This stops all the flex in the rear mount. Any flex left is in the adjustable rails. They can only be so snug.

I'll continue to clean them up and sand blast and paint em when I can find a blaster not in use.
