tii thermo time switch - NEW available

Just in case any tii owners are looking for a new thermo time switch (not the timer box, this one sits right next to the temperature sensor in front of the intake runners).

Part #13621355006

As far as I know BMW does not make those anymore, but I found a German website:

https://www.partsstore24.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=13621355006&x=8&y=7

It's about EUR 90 plus EUR 35 shipping, so not super cheap, but at least it is available.

Mine is in the mail - I had them ship it to my father in Germany to save on shipping.

Hope this helps someone.

Dieter

Are you sure the temp / thermo time switch is NLA from BMW???

I checked with BMW NA and they show one in stock in the USA. Who told you they were NLA??

Called the Roseville dealership. Gave them the parts #. They told me they can't get it anymore. Bavauto told me the same. Seems to me that Realoem.com is not very current regarding availability and prices.

Tell the dealer parts person to check again....

As of this posting there is ONE in the Nazareth PA warehouse and 649 in Germany. I just checked the BMW NA parts system website., the very same site the dealer parts guy should have checked. I'm sorry you had to jump through hoops to track down an aftermarket version of a part that is still very available.

How about the wiring harness that connects thermo switch, timer box and cold start valve. That is another part that I could not find anywhere.

One of my wires broke right at the connector, and I am currently using 2 separate small spade connectors. Works, but doesn't look very good.

Part # for that is 61121354671

Thanks

Thanks for your help. Maybe I should send the BMW dealership the link to Maximilian/mobiletradition ...

Now, at least I can replace all of my cold start components, although none of them caused my semi-warm start issues. It was the warm-up regulator that needed adjustment (washer was to high, releasing the enrichment lever too early).

Thanks again

Dieter
