First valve adjustment

If it were me the first one would have been about 900 miles ago - 100 miles. Second one 500 miles later - next one another 1000 miles, then go to a regular 6K valve adjustment schedule. It only takes 20-30 min do do an adjustment, so why not check it often at first.

I'm only about 6K miles into my new engine built by Eric Kerman, and when I checked the valves @ 100 miles several were starting to get tight in the gap.

'I've not heard of angle torque on 2002 engines--think that's for newer BMWs with angle torque (one time use) head bolts. This has been discussed on the forum--and M10 head bolts are designed to be re-used and are torqued "traditionally"--i.e. with a torque wrench to XX ft lbs. Just had the head gasket replaced on my car, and my very experienced mechanic said, "don't forget to retorque the head at about 1k miles--and check valve adjustment while you're at it."

Cheers
